Birthday Banner

Okay I think I am officially hooked on banners!  It might have been a little predictable since I love working with the Big Shot but I did not see it coming.  As much as I love 3D projects, I don't make many....not really sure why but I do know that banners are my mojo at the moment!  I want to thank Emily Campbell, a demonstrator in NZ for her Christmas Banner, that I cased and shared as a class in November, as that is when it all started!

As soon as I started flipping through the pages of the new Occasions Catalogue, I was searching for what paper and designs should I start with to make a banner!  I have to admit, Stampin' Up! did not make it easy on me, as the Designer Series Paper is amazing in the new catalogue!  It even looks good in the catalogue!  If you are like me, I am much more impressed with our papers once I see them in "real life" since as hard as Stampin' Up! tries, and I know they try hard, the true essence of the paper can not be captured by a camera!  It comes alive in your hands...okay maybe not alive, but it does appear with more brilliance and depth than I can ever see!  I absolutely love the new Cupcakes & Carousels Designers Series Paper!

I have made my first banner using the assortment of colours incorporated in this paper collection as I also wanted to have fun with the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment kit!  This made making this banner so much fun and easy with embellishments at my finger tips.  Below is a picture of the contents of this kit.

Here is a picture of the banner I made and then a few close up pictures so you can see more of the details.  I did use the Lift Me Up, Balloon Adventures and Foxy Friends bundles to add more stampes and shapes too!

Balloons, bows, foxes and fun!

Did I mention I was hooked on banners?  Oh yes I did, so watch out as I am just about finished a banner using the opposite side of this collection of paper so it is highlights Bermuda Bay, So Saffron and Early Espresso!  Yay!  Watch for it...I will be posting it next week!

And since designing is no fun alone, I am offering this banner for you to make in a class...check under Classes & Events to learn more!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  What better way to welcome in 2017 then with a new catalogue and a party!  Yes both the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration party are here!  If you haven't seen the new catalogue yet and need a copy, drop me a note and I will hook you up as you don't want to miss it!  As for Sale-a-bration, well it is most definitely my favourite party of the year!  It is a party that every can participate in, specials for you to join Stampin' Up!, on purchases and for parties!  So you don't want to miss it!  Good news, the party started and continues until March 31st, 2017!  Woot woot!  Put your hands up in the air....and let's party!

New Occasions Catalogue!  It is simply amazing!  After some cold and busy holidays here on Vancouver Island, I am so excited to start working on Spring!  Okay maybe I do feel love in the air and will start with some Valentine cards, but either way, I am thinking no more red and green for a bit and spring colours here I come!  Did I saw colour??  Yes I did.  I'm so excited that to try, use and teach with our new watercolour pencils!  Oh ya, adult colouring being taken to all new level here!  I loved the class I taught in the fall when we made colouring books using the Stampin' Up! stamps and ink and now we get to colour them!  Can you say hear my excitement?  I hope so!  I love colouring!  And oh my it is so relaxing!  Work, kids, stress...what I am supposed to take care of those things too....I guess so, but not when I'm colouring!   Ha ha, only teasing, I have the whole family colouring...that is what is so incredible about colouring!  It is definitely for all ages and watercolours are very forgiving making it easy for all ages too!

Yay!  Sale-a-bration fun time!

I love Sale-a-bration!  I truly do!  I love it for the excitement and great times with my crafting friends, my new team members (whom are also my crafting friends) and for all the FREE stuff that everyone gets! Who doesn't like a party like that!
